Met Office Forecast for South-West England
Issued: Saturday 1st November 2025 at 4:00 pm
Headline: Further showers through the rest of the weekend.
This Evening and Tonight: A largely dry start to the evening, with clear spells. However, bands of blustery showers returning from the west towards midnight, some heavy with the risk of thunder. Turning chilly where any prolonged clear spells develop. Minimum Temperature 5C.
Sunday: A bright day, with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Winds lighter than Saturday, though increasing again later as cloud and rain returns from the west by evening. Maximum Temperature 13C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Often wet and windy early next week, with outbreaks of heavy rain over the Moors. Staying mild, with temperatures above average for early November.
UK Outlook for Thursday 6 Nov 2025 to Saturday 15 Nov 2025: Changeable and at times unsettled weather is likely to continue into the start of this period, with low pressure dominating the UK. This means further showers or longer spells of rain at times. All parts could see some heavy rain, but it is likely that western areas will be wettest. Strong winds are likely at times, with gales possible in the west. Equally there should also be some drier or clearer interludes, these more prevalent further east. A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible later in the period making drier interludes more common. Above average temperatures are most likely, with a reduced incidence of overnight frost and fog, compared to normal, especially at first.
UK Outlook for Sunday 16 Nov 2025 to Sunday 30 Nov 2025: A transition to a less unsettled pattern is possible through mid-November. With time, there is a greater chance of incidences of high pressure bringing more in the way of dry weather, also increasing the chances of overnight fog and frost. There may however still be periods of rain, showers, and stronger winds, especially in the west. Weather patterns are very uncertain during late November. Overall, near or above average temperatures are most likely though some colder spells are possible, especially should any prolonged settled spells develop.
